Middlesbrough Midweek Cricket League |
![]() |
Established in 1950 to provide games of cricket for the enjoyment of as many people as possible and at a level which enables players of any standard to participate.
The league has members from local cricket clubs, business supported teams, pub teams and teams from groups of enthusiasts. It is formulated into up to eight divisions of eight teams. Sixty four teams is the maximum number that can participate in a fifteen week schedule. It also runs a Challenge Cup competition.
The League is grateful for the support of Middlesbrough Borough Council who provides playing facilities in the shape of five cricket squares at two venues (Prissick and Mill Hill) within the borough.
The League is also grateful to the Middlesbrough Evening Gazette who print results each week during the season.
